WHAT IS SEA MOSS?

Also known as Irish Moss, Sea Moss is an algae which grows on the Atlantic coastlines. It can be found in the Caribbean Islands, Europe and North America. It is a superfood that has been used for centuries and contains 92 out of the 102 minerals the human body needs, including: magnesium, potassium, zinc, iodine, calcium and B-vitamins.

WHERE IS YOUR SEA MOSS SOURCED?

The Caribbean Island of St. Lucia. We source our Sea Moss there as they have good waters. This is due to it being isolated away from main ports, avoiding toxic contamination from oil spills into the ocean.

 

IS YOUR SEA MOSS SUSTAINABLY SOURCED?

Yes, we care about the environment and stand by the ethical and sustainable methods of sourcing earthly goods. The Sea Moss we source grows in it's natural habitat of the ocean, in protected waters. It is then harvested and sun-dried before it is imported to the UK.

 

HOW MUCH SHOULD I CONSUME?

We advise 1-2 tablespoons of our sea moss gel daily.

You can add it to your smoothies, herbal tea, porridge or it can be used as a gelatine alternative/ thickening agent when cooking soups, stews and gravy.

 

HOW DOES IT TASTE?

Sea Moss Gel is virtually tasteless. As we soak it in limes, that eliminates any sea-like taste it may have.

 

CAN I PUT SEA MOSS ON MY SKIN? 

Yes! Sea Moss is a natural collagen which tightens, hydrates and replenishes the skin. It is rich in sulfur and has antibacterial and antimicrobial functions, so it is believed to help with balancing the skin.

It can even be used as a hair mask.

 

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Our Sea Moss gel lasts 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator. Alternatively it can last up to 6 months in the freezer. Please remove from the jar before freezing.

 

WHAT ARE YOUR SHIPMENT DAYS?

We ship orders Monday-Thursday. Orders placed Friday-Sunday will be shipped on Monday, this is to avoid your fresh sea moss gel from arriving with any spoilage from being help at the post office over the weekend.

We ship with Royal Mail 1st class signed for so your order will arrive within 1-2 business days. We also ship next day delivery with DPD for larger orders.
